I can't believe how triggered people are over this pilsner thing. This has become quite the entertaining read.

The Trillium pils is really good for a local pils. I’m looking forward to doing a blind pilsner tasting with that, HF Mary, some suarez, treehouse’s pils, and a few shelfies like pilsner urquell, rothaus, maybe a notch. I’ll report back when I get around to it, but it can be tricky to have all of those fresh at the same time.

I find blind tastings are the best way to take bias out and be objective with ratings/tastes and Trillium’s IPAs always do exceptionally well in those.

Well considering that I rate beers from Night Shift and even Sierra Nevada a 4.5, 4.7 seems about right for a well made Trillium beer. I like the styles they make and the intensity of their flavors that most brewers I have tried don’t achieve. Sure I’m a fanboy, because I like their beer. And I never said I don’t like The Standard, it’s just nothing special, not that Trillium’s Pilsner is the greatest beer in the world, just a solid flavorful Pilsner that I prefer. To each their own.

And a review is a review, the number is a rating. My reviews are descriptions of the beer to me, and the rating is what I think of it, just to make that clear.
