No, this incorrect, the new new website does have changes from the new website.

And it wasn’t quietly. They actually sent a newsletter about the new site. But let’s not let semantics get in the way of the fact that the new website is garbage.

    The new website is silly.

I'd really love to see the business case behind it. I'm sure it cost six figures and someone has to think the value to the brand will be more than that - but how I'm not sure and would like to know.

Honestly if done right their website could be a single page plain text and everyone could get it what they needed from it. This seems like it was probably led by brand folks and they overestimated what their customers care about.

See post above yours. Plain text showing list of all available to go beers.

Yeah but it's buried and it looks like an afterthought, when it's like 93% of what the website is actually for.

Also, I get that we're being fussy nerds about this, but pretty much everything Trillium does is to try to appeal to fussy beer nerds so I feel like that particular brand of criticism is earned. This isn't some humble little one-man shop that can't be bothered with a fancy website, they spent a lot of money on this thing specifically to impress people.

Website seems improved from prior version overall - new option on front page is choose: beers, then choose quick beer list and you can see all available options at each location - seems like they addressed previous issues with website and added this simplified option

Cracked a perm 69 last night that I’ve been sitting on for a while, nice peanut butter smell and taste. Overall it was really good and really enjoyed it.

I’ll jump on the bandwagon and agree the new website is trash. Way overdone and not necessary

Completely agree - I think they're dumbing it down for mainstream users but who knows. "Trillium if you're reading this, please change it back to the way it was - you finally got it right, why can't you keep it that way!"

Yes, something of this sort - I do think they're trying to make it easy for mainstream beer fans as that's their M.O. - appeal to the masses rather than the select few (us). Whatever, and regardless, it's a mess, and even for mainstream users I'd bet it's still confusing and takes way too much time to navigate. As someone said - a simple one page list with pictures of what is available is all that's necessary. Keep It Simple Stupid (KISS) is a popular business maxim that need apply here.

How is that even a thing you can design for?

The problem is that they punted on actually presenting what beers are available where in a concise and organized way. Instead you have to click on a bunch of stuff and work a bunch of drop-down menus, or else just scroll through beers one at a time. Trillium, your beers are $22 a four pack, you can afford to do the work for me.

I'm not really sure they can actually design for mainstream [vs. beer nerds] effectively...but my point is that this is their growth market now, not you and me - and I think - they think - that their new design will help these folks navigate through the different styles more easily in order to help them better understand what their options are (so they can become familiar with these options, incent them to try more beer, and of course buy more beer...). Who knows? Instead, what they're really done is what you say - make it more confusing for everyone by ditching the easy well-designed one page format by adding all this scrolling / drop down menus, etc. Either way, they do seem responsive to feedback so I'm sure they'll get it right someday.

There still isn't a single place on the entire new site that shows on-site bottles. How they could overlook this/get this wrong is beyond me.

I've tweeted at them twice asking how to find on-site bottles with no response. Their online/social media team continues to impress.

How do the single can sales work at Canton? You can just request a single of anything they have in 4pks? Do they break up the costs proportionally (e.g. $20 4pk = $5 single can)?

I picked up a 4pk of DDH Melcher st. I probably haven’t had it in over a year and a half and was surprised how much hop burn there was . I will let them hang for a while and see how it turns out but I was still a little disappointed after dishing out $20.20

The best hoppy beer I've had from Trillium lately is the gluten-free beer. Everything else has been meh, or in the case of anything DDH, burny as hell.

Maybe I haven't experienced a severe case but I kind of like hop burn. Unless what I am thinking is hop burn isn't.

I'm not sure it will improve. The hop burn has been my more recent experiences with DDH Melcher. The burn may mellow but the intended fruity hop character might as well.
