Are people talking about liking hop burn and can turb or am I just like having a stroke or something? Is this real? Am I actually dead already?

Dark times. I got a mouthful of can trub at the bottom of a can of Cat’s Meow some time ago. My God, it was dreadful. I didn’t have another NEIPA for a few weeks. I am now quite careful. I even considered avoiding the style altogether going forward. I am totally serious; it was that bad an experience.

I don't want any hop trub in my beer. If I accidentally pour that 2-3 oz, which shouldn't be packaged in the first place, into my beer, it ruins the other 12-13 oz of beer. To be clear, this is not solely a Trillium/TH problem. Other breweries (some of which have been noted in this thread) have been doing this too. It's unfortunate. If I wanted to get the flavor of biting into a hop pellet, an oz of hops is cheaper than most of these beers.

I know nothing about brewing but I thought the "unfiltered" style automatically had sediment in the cans. Could the whole batch be decanted during the canning process at the brewery? Is there some other technique brewers use so the beer is still "unfiltered" but doesn't have sediment?

7th anniversary party tickets just hit for $150. Wow.

150 people/session. Three sessions. A quick $67K pull for Trillium.

It's funny you mention that particular beer.
Last year a few of us were at a bar. We were at a table and we ordered three glasses of Cat's Meow. Two looked normal and the third looked, no joke, like a glass of milk. We asked the server if they were all the same beer and she confirmed. We then had to ask her to replace the third one.
The story is nuts for two reasons.
One, assuming it was the bottom of the keg, that is a crazy amount of stuff to be down there.
Two, the fact that both the bartender and server didn't notice is insane. The place was well lit and the beer travelled pretty far on the tray. The server was almost confused that were we asking for a new pour.
Is it normal for the last couple of beers of a keg to be like that for this style?

I always wonder about these parties. Not just at Trillium but at a lot of breweries.
I am assuming they are supposed to be viewed as a thank you from the brewery to the customer for the years of support but a lot of the time they come across as more of a fundraiser with the actual value of measurables not coming close to the ticket cost.
Maybe they are the latter without ever claiming to be the former. I don't know.

7th anniversary tickets coming in hot! Looks like they are giving the Max treatment to The Streets for this one (4pk included with ticket cost + cuvee + an exclusive BA stout). Assuming you will have to pay per pour though? Count me out, I’ll just take my chances in line for Max Streets

Stopped by today for the first time in a long time. The cask beer was better than I anticipated. Had the pale and IPA. Very good, but alcohol a bit high for cask as previously mentioned in this thread.

The whole “scene” at Trillium...don’t miss that at all. Kids over babies over dogs.

For that price you better not have to pay for beer or food... If you do they should drop one of the take home beers instead and let food and drink be inclusive for the session

It's unlimited 2oz pours. Still pretty steep but I wonder what guest beers will be there.

Yea, I’m local to Boston so tend to get most of the new stuff they release, not worth the price unless I knew there were some interesting 3rd parties there. Finback has a massive festival the weekend after in Rhode Island that’s going to have a ton of breweries, more what I’m looking for

If Trill offers a good amount of some rarer beers and Trill standards, and some good food, it will be worth it. I am writing this as holder of a session two ticket. Please don't let us down!

Assuming the 2 bottles and 4 pack provide at least $50 worth of value that brings the ticket cost down to $100 for unlimited pours and food. If there are 5-6 pouring stations and 3-4 food stations there really shouldn't be any lines.
I was a hard no when this was first announced but when you do the math it seems much more reasonable.
