Drinking my first Launch now. So glad I made the trip the other day!

Did we ever get a confirmation of when the second batch of Launch was swapped in, and did anyone try both? I had a sample of Launch a few days back and I liked it. Wasn't picking up the diaceytl that some mentioned in the first batch (which I did not try) but I am not confident in my assessment. Still much prefer Fort Point or Skimpy to Launch though!

No pints when I was there, just small samples of 4 beers. No food trucks

FPPA looks beautiful. I had first batch of Launch and Scaled and was getting a little skeptical of Canton, but Scaled Up was fantastic and FPPA as good as ever.

Growler line in Fort Point was spectacularly slow Thursday -- I was the fifth person outside the door when I arrived and was still there I think 15 minutes later. Felt like they might actually being blowing the glass for the growlers inside before filling them. The 42 minutes I had on my parking meter expired by the time I got back to the car. Not that it's not worth it, but the experience could certainly be improved.

Admittedly it's been at least 3-4 months since I've had FPPA bit I've heard about some of the clarity/hop issues and saw it first hand in a few other beers.

With that said I picked up FPPA bottles in Boston on 12/31 and it's as good if not better than what I remember. If something was "broken" I can say it's fixed cause this was the same pale ale I always remembered.

Is the line normally slow? I mean, you were there on one of the biggest days for drinking alcohol. It would be weird if there wasn't a significant wait.

Ditto the line slowness on Thursday. I've never seen it that slow on a per person basis. I was there around 2pm. Line was not long but slooooow.

They had 2 people working.. I think they normally have 3?

The latest batch of Canton FPPA is pretty damn good. The citra comes through perfectly. The color/look is exactly what I was hoping for. Hazy, oily, hoppy, juicy...all the adjectives. Its more in line with the specialty hopped FPPA variations IMHO. Really impressive.

Totally agree - drinking one right now. New brewery is great, made my first visit today. But God, if they used all that open space, set up a few tables, and let me order a pint of beer - one lone pint would do it - I'd be in heaven.

Agreed. I can't figure out why they laid it out the way they did; half of that space is completely wasted... and to build in a space that large and not include a taproom section? /boggle

Im glad there isnt a taproom. Less homies hanging around. Not everyone want to be in the bar business.

Not wanting to be in the bar business I get, but it's just such a weird space. And selfishly, I love the new taproom setup at HF and was really, really hoping that's what Canton would be.

I haven't been to Canton, so I haven't seen the space...but they never said they won't offer pints. They were paying rent for a while and needed to start brewing and selling beer ASAP.

If they do end up selling pints the place will be a clusterfuck. Selfishly I'm hoping it never happens. Send more kegs out. The space is perfect how it is.

And you've got that great ambiance of drinking in a low end suburban office park. Seriously, could that drive into Trillium be more depressing?

Agreed, I went this afternoon and the place was quieter than ever...but if they offered pints even a slow day for bottles/growlers to go would be assholes to elbows.

As it was there was NOBODY in line so I was out with bottles in around 2 minutes, but there were 10-15 people getting samples. This would turn into ~100 people getting full pours

What I could see as a compromise is them selling one flight of 4oz samples for all beers available for $5-10. I think this is easier as far as crowd control than the current small free tasters of one beer at a time. Still need the capital investment of a dishwasher and/or someone devoted to this specific task rather than filling growlers or chasing bottles.
