Oh damn... so my 3 month aged bottle probably won't be as good as it was fresh...

Just walked in and out in less than five minutes. If you can there before 7:30 now is a good time.

The metal soundtrack in the brewery tonight was a nice touch.

Think I make it for some Mettle around 3pm, or Mosaic FPPA for that matter?

They still have 2/3 of the batch left, so I would hope so.

I arrived at 1215, was probably 20th in line. Mosaic Fort Point bottles kicked 2 spots ahead of me. Line was moving quickly..

Just picked up 2 bottles each of Mettle and PM Dawn. Starting to really get into stouts, so the PM Dawn will be a great new beer to try!

Line was definitely consistent, but moved at a decent pace. Probably waited just 20 minutes, not bad at all.

Got there at 1pm, was maybe 15 in line ahead of me. Still took nearly 20-30 minutes since everyone was getting tons of bottles. The staff was busting their ass though - always a great job!

Walked in at 1:30 or so. 5-7 people waiting on growlers, no wait for bottles.

How crazy is the line typically on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons? Curious what to expect, just planning on bottles if that makes a difference

I often go friday around 3 and haven't waited more than 10 minutes for bottles. Its usually the same situation around 6-7:30. If there are people waiting for growlers you can usually go to the left of them to grab bottles.

I was in and out around 3, tiny line formed as I was leaving, a buddy just texted me minutes ago, he was in and out. Was sad to see no Mosaic FPPA but hell, this deciduous is AMAZING and who doesn't love Mettle!?

Drinking a Double Dry Hopped Melcher Street now, I think is the best single IPA I have ever had! Fantastic!

Boy, I miss working in South Boston and being able to stroll over there after getting out of work, on the way to the train. I don't miss the commuter rail issues, though.

how do their darker beers hold up for bottles? just under 3 hrs away. happen to be going tom. debating how much to get.

Do you mean how long do they last on the shelves? Because generally the darker stuff does not sell out as quickly as the IPAs. Or do you mean can you cellar PM Dawn? Because I think JC has frequently commented that the beers brewed with coffee should be consumed relatively fresh.

well, both I guess. def getting pm and the barley (know it's blonde, but higher abv). but I'll be back by end of winter for sure - so question goes past now (future ref if you will). just a far drive for me monthly and I'm a stout guy so wondering if I get 6 or so pm today drinking em monthly if it'll still drink decent by the end. I kinda figured on the cellaring bc goose bc coffee ppl always say it's pointless after a few years & I've never heard of that for pm anyway haha.

Drink em fresh or after a few months - they're always fantastic. I've never held on to one longer than that though.

Curious to see if distribution outside of Mass occurs once Canton goes online. I'd LOOOOOOVE to see some Trillium on tap or in stores down here in Rhody.....

Not to be a party pooper, but everything a hot brewery has expanded (Treehouse/The Alchemist/Hill Farmstead) it's really only to keep up with demand in their localized area. Trillium will probably get limited distro in the Boston area like it had a few months ago, have more beer at select beer bars in Boston/Canton, and a lot of product at their Canton brewery. That's about it.

Yeah, it sounds to me that wider distribution (beyond what they did in the past) really isn't on Trillium's radar for the foreseeable future.

Although...if you look at it, Canton's only slightly closer to Boston than it is to the RI border...but yeah, I wouldn't hold out hope. Much like I'm not holding out any hope that we'll be getting any more Trillium in bottle shops here on the North Shore than we do now (zero).

This PM dawn rocked my socks off. Best stout I've had. My stout experience is limited, but I've had a few of the real good ones... I loved PM.
