I would try a single but Mosaic is not my favorite hop so I probably won't be too into this.

Probably will try this out also. Wish they would bring back First Cut as the Spring Hop Cycle release.

Would try it if it was available down here, but definitely not a fan of Sabro.

I miss First Cut as well, but this beer is a big improvement over Joyous. Great nose, a unique flavor profile, and I’m always looking for IPAs in this abv range. My only knock on it was it got a little too sweet for me after a couple. Happy I bought a six though.

Good to know. Gave Joyous a 2.5 on Untappd, so needless to say I was not a fan.

Wife sent me out for a pizza tonight, so thought I’d stop by the beer store. Saw they had one 12 pack of cans left and it was canned 6 days ago. Based on what @hillind said, I decided to purchase it.

Seems to be getting good reviews - I’m in a FB group for PA beers and the few people who have tried so far it seem to have enjoyed it.

This was a one sixer and done purchase for me. Thin, watery body and finish. Just like Joyous, I'm amazed they put this out into the market like that.

I’m surprised at people saying it’s boring. Had another one last night and thought it was very different than the typical IPA - had 25 oz of Goose Island IPA right before it.

Maybe it’s one of the hops that’s really making it stick out for me?

This has been on draft at my local almost since it dropped, and it's been one of my go-tos ever since Nugget Nectar ran out. I normally don't like Sabro but somewhere between Joyous and now they figured out what to do with it. Haven't rated it on here yet but I'd put it in the high 3s once I finally do.

    Oh great, ANOTHER Tröegs IPA!
    What were the odds?
I gave up on them long ago.
Not enough diversity in their rotations. Even their non-IPA's are too damn hoppy for the styles, the few they make.
And Dreamweaver Wheat is putrid bile!

Stoudt's was my favorite when Bill Moore was head brewer, they went down hill after he left. R.i.p. Stoudt's.
    Lancaster is ok.
    Boneshire is alright.
Honestly, not many. Tiz why I brew my own.

Bubblegum because of hops or because of yeast?

I have a difficult time thinking that the ale yeast used to brew this beer would provide a bubblegum flavor. Some people perceive bubblegum in Hefeweizen beers due to the Hefeweizen yeast strain.

My guess would be that Sabro in combination with the other hops is the root cause here.

I homebrewed an IPA which featured Sabro hops and that beer had strong flavors of coconut and pineapple; that beer reminded me of a Pina Colada.

    Cheers!

I used Magnum for the bittering hop addition but all Sabro thereafter (later kettle additions and dry hopping).

    Cheers!

I agree concerning the Troegs IPA overload, but nowadays ever brewer is brewing too many IPAs and neglecting other styles. The only Troegs IPA I really like is Field Study.
I'm surprised at the negative reaction to their non-IPAs; I've found Sunshine Pils to be a (nowadays) rare pils style beer that's not overly hoppy. And I rather like Dream Weaver, a nice Hefeweizen that has the virtue of usually being fairly fresh.

I do think that Troegs tends to be on the hoppier end for any given style in most cases but I too am a fan of their non-IPAs.

Sounds tasty. Troegs usually does well with IPAs.

A little sweeter than I usually prefer, but still nicely done. Much prefer this one to their Field Study IPA. Troegs does it well again.
