Released today. Has anyone tried it? How is it? Also anyone know the prices they are selling it for at the brewery?

Dunno, but they must have brewed a lot of it if the limit is 5 cases at the brewery.

    From their blog
"Nimble Giant, clocking in at 9% ABV and 69 IBUs, is available on draft and in 4-packs of 16-oz. cans wherever you find Troegs. At our Hershey brewery, you’ll find draft, 16-oz. singles, 4-packs, cases, growlers, crowlers and a handful of 3-liter bottles starting at 11 a.m. June 27. And if you’re buying it here, please keep it to 5 cases or less."

Got a 4 pack for 12.99 expecting a decent, and in actuality getting a really good beer. It reminds of Waldo's light. Lighter color, lighter smell, and lighter taste, but cut from the same, resin soaked cloth.

It would be nice for a larger brewery to have a cheaper price per 4-pk. I guess the $14+ 4-pack is the new norm. Sigh.

The problem I have with Dirtwolf is that I rarely see fresh 4 packs anymore.

I'm hoping to pick some Nimble up this week, as well. I asked my local bottle shop and they may receive it tomorrow.

Hoping this turns into another "limited" beer shit show to further dampen my interest in craft beers. (Sarcasm mine, and intentional)

It's because its sold year round. I can't name one year round IPA that is widely distributed that I can find fresh more often than old (8+ weeks is my criteria for fresh v old)? I honestly don't know of any.

Its good, but it's basically the ceiling for what Troegs can produce.

I wasn't blown away by it, but didn't really have that expectation to begin with anyways. Definitely their best beer that they produce IMO.

I don't know if I agree with it being their ceiling. The triple dry hopped perpetual they brewed a few years back was pretty incredible for any DIPA and proved to me that they could make a world-class hopbomb if they wanted to.

I left the Reading area yesterday and Nimble Giant is 'scheduled' to land this week. Arrived here in Boston today and it has been on the shelf since Monday (yesterday) according to the worker. I love it hits Boston before it does 20-30 miles away.

I will certainly pick up a 4 pack. Troegs has brewed enough great beer that I have no problem giving any of their new offerings a shot in the rotation.

Scratch #243 the sour they recently brewed was one of the best things I have tried by them. Now that is one that should have been put into bottles/cans.

Dales Pale Ale (not technically an IPA but hopped like one)
    Evil Twin Molotov Lite
    Stone IPA
    To name a few...

Even FW Union Jack has been coming in fresh on a regular basis.

The last batch of DW that I've seen is from like October of last year. Would love to see it fresh cause its a great beer.

I think Nimble Giant is a result of one of their scratch beers.

Man, I wish I could find all of those fresh in my area. I will admit Firestone Walker has gotten a little better, but I'm still lucky to find some less than 3 months old.
