Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2016 Edition

I felt we used a time machine whilst imbibing in unlimited Sue at The Nova last Saturday. That was old school Sue at its best.

 

According to Twitter, BADSDB is in at 1st Ave Grand.

 

I've scored some good stuff off that shelf. Last July, I walked in on a mid-week evening and scored a 14' BCBS, 15' KBS, and 13' Darkness. I gladly paid whatever the markup was. They must have been clearing out their "cellar" that day.

Besides these big releases, it's the only reason I go there.

 

BADSDB in at TW Burnsville as of about a half hour ago. CW BBBW in too.

 

Agreed. Have gone in and they've had BA Darkness, Rum King and BCBS just sitting out there. Sure was a few bucks more (not double). Worth stopping in once in a while hoping to get lucky. Otherwise, just walk out empty handed getting strange looks.

 

Not sure, but had some at Stout's Pub on Saturday and it was delish.

 

Any recommendations on a store that has a really good selection of single cans? Preferably east side.

 

Don't remember who was asking for the latest Sue dates, just saw 1/28/16 at Red Lion Burnsville.

 

Has anybody seen Lightspeed from the most recent batch bottled last week? It was supposed to make it to MN I thought

Has that tiny drop of January Abrasive come and gone? Anyone seen any around?

 

Coscto Maplewood had quite a bit 01/04 Abrasive as of yesterday evening

 

Uptown Kowalskis had some 1/4 cans as well.

 

Ale Jail had BADSDB and Central Waters collaboration barrel aged barley wine.

 

1st Grand Ave Liquors is sold out.

 

Like most stores in St Paul, they only got one case.

 

Bummer, but at least the chase made my lunch break exciting.
