I actually thought it was quite a bit less than that last year, wasn't it? $12.99 or so? Either way, I'll still be purchasing it this year.

For those interested, Wild Mind is starting a membership program. $30 per bottle seems a bit steep to me, but I'm not the biggest sour guy, so I'm picky on their beers which I do really enjoy.

    https://www.wildmindales.com/the-forgotten-barrel-society/

    Membership Details:
    • 10 special members-only bottle releases included (beers not available to general public)
      • Beers will be released throughout the year at our choosing
      • Special beers will be held for a limited time for pickup
      • Any additional bottles available will be available to society members on a first-come, first-served basis for an additional fee
    • 10% discount at the tasting room during membership year
    • Annual exclusive society members party
    • Custom society glass and t-shirt
    • Front-of-line access to all public beer releases
    • Special 750ml growler, which can be filled with any beer on tap
    • Membership ID card
    • Price: $300 + tax (non-refundable) and fees
    • 300 memberships available. One membership allowed per person

I’ll probably make the switch to this from Rare Barrel’s Ambassadors Of Sour program next year. It will be nice to actually be able to take advantage of discounts and private events. I hope they do some extra member-only releases beyond the 10 beers included.

Sounds like a quick $90,000 cash grab, must be having cash flow difficulties. Seems like a solid offer though if you make it there often.

I miss the old BA "wtf are you talking about" face. This would be an awful way to get cashflow. Also, have you been there any time recently? This weekend it was so damn busy we couldn't find a spot to sit for awhile inside or out. Usually seems pretty full, even when I've gone during off hours.

Yep, always packed. They exist in a brewery/bar black hole and it's full of young S. Mpls. families. Good for them. I'm a big fan, but wish half the tap list didn't sell out over the course of a weekend AND that they developed more bugs/funk. Almost everything tastes young. Need work on a lab to isolate strains and get that indoor coolship exposed to the outdoors?
