Twin Cities - Staples Mill limited releases still around?

Chris- I'll send you one for some locals if you want. I bought one a few weeks ago hoping there would be a bad beer tasting or something.

 

There are lots of it around. I saw a couple bottles at the St. Anthony Muni on Hwy 88, along with some at the Cellars in Roseville.

 

Calhoun MGM has some.

 

Don't waste your money...they are all as awful as the Stout

Never had... but based on some reviews it sounds like stuff from the brewery (growler) is ok-decent. Perhaps bottling issues?

If your friend is in the Andover area, Northgate has a bunch of their stuff too.

 

Yes, Tournament up in Andover does too... I feel bad for these guys! I've had their stuff and agree, but still...I feel bad

 

Ha! That was me. I've caught plenty of crap for the positive review off-line.

We went out to the brewery & their beer was good. Not mind-blowing, not great, but the various beers were anywhere from solid to very good.

Fast forward to the bottles, & you're right. There's a problem going on between the brewing & the bottling. I hope they get it straightened out, because I won't buy anything bottled from Staple Mills until I hear plenty of positive reports. And at the price, & in bombers...well, the chances probably aren't good. They'd have been much better served starting on tap & eventually going to sixers with a pilsner & wheat.

Yup, completely my experience as well. Odd that they don't have any draft accounts (at least that I've seen).

 

Draft is mostly in Stillwater.

 

That would explain why I haven't seen it.

 

Haskell's in Chanhassen had all Staple Mills beers on closeout. There was at least one kind of the limited release in the cart.
