Twin Elephant would have to reduce the size of the tasting room to put in a much larger brewery. I doubt they would do that.

There are plans to extend the tasting room. It's tentative, though.

Was the diamonds and pearls release on the new 5bbl system?

Fwiw, this can edition of LSY was only 3.5 cases larger than the last run. Though the initial target was supposed to be much bigger.

Again, I love TE. But being realistic here -- 4 day sales on their current system during the fall and winter, is going to be tough to have beers (especially hoppy growler fills) hanging week to week, or having 6-8 beers on the board. Right now they've been great with having a bunch of beers available for growler fills for each week, but let's not kid ourselves -- they're going to be way busier when beach season comes to an end.

It's obviously a great problem for them to have though, def putting out great beer. It's a shame there are breweries in the 20-30bbl range putting out drain pours, while a lot of great breweries are so system limited (Troon, TE, etc)

Ah I see, that's been their largest canning run to date at 38 cases.

In part I think that's due to the volume loss associated with all the solids in a heavily hopped beer like lil' shimmy ye (and a bigger grain bill), I would have thought Diamonds would have a bigger yield from the same size batch. I suspect there may have also been some loss in the switch to a new mobile canning co. as well (but that's speculation on my part).

Thinking about checking the place out for the first timw tomorrow. Anyone think there is a chance they open a little early because of the holiday weekend?

Sometimes...they'll usually take some off growler fills if they're going too fast, so there's more for on-site customers.

I wonder if "LA DI DA DI" is a different beer from the "in the secondary" list last week which was called "Lody Dody" which was supposed to be a coconut milk porter (which I was really stoked for)

Picked up a growler of Stay True last weekend. First DDH DIPA I had from Twin Elephant. It was fantastic. I know just about every brewery around is churning out this style at the moment, but this one was really on point. Also love that Idaho 7, quickly becoming a favorite hop.

Twin elephant is low key putting out some awesome xPA, I was only able to get a growler of clincher last week and it was delicious.
