in case anyone is interested double dba will be coming to tx from firestone, they just missed the abv mark this time around due to the aging process.

dfh distro here is hit and miss, I cannot figure out why we dont get chicory stout at this point. And i can concur on the pricepoint issue, immortal ale is 18.99 for a four pack at specs..ssheesh

They actually officially win the prize for most expensive 4-pack in TX for Immort Ale.

I will say that it's delicious though. But dayum!

St Bernardus Dubbel and Moa Imperial Stout 4-packs might have something to say about that both at $20 at Total Wine FW.

The Bruery denied it on FB this week.

I do wonder why BEK told me that. Maybe they were confused?

    And on Twitter:

"nope :slight_frown: not expanding our distribution anytime soon. sorry!"

If everything distro reps around here said was true, I'd be choosing between Bruery, Russian River and Westvleteren at Spec's tonight...

Unless they have officially signed best business practices would be to deny involvement until its finalized. I've heard the Bruery mentioned too many times recently from too many different angles that someone at a high trusted level at BEK is intentionally spreading disinformation or there is some truth to it.

I'd love to see Chicory and WWS down here. I'm not sure why they don't send us those, especially given the mountains of 120 we got. I believe Rhizing Bines will make it down here. We've been getting a lot more releases in 750 ml format lately than we have in the past (Positive Contact, Bitches Brew, Noble Rot, Etrusca).

Please let us not complain about price, it is a mental game. 18.99 4 pk breaks down 9.50 for a 22oz which is very affordable for a beer that is 11% abv, which we all have no problem paying. That is my 2 cents, Drink Craft Beer!!

I picked up Immort 4pack, 75, Noble Rot, and the other bomber (forget its name) this week. Yes Dogfish is expensive but the majority of things I'm really happy to try. Now if we can only get Olde School...I love that hot ass beer for some reason. Probably my favorite DFH offering

Exactly! If Jester King, in comparison, ever decided to bottle their RU55(as an example) in 4 pack format, their price point would fall in excess of $32 per 4 pack... and I hardly EVER hear anyone complain about JK prices. Just people running to the stores to continually buy it...

Are we getting Olde School? I'm trying to trade for it right now, and haven't gotten many bites with a ru-55

I would be surprised if Olde School wasn't approved for bottles and kegs. I know of a few places in Fort Worth that have kegs and the Common Table had one for their DFH day last year. Unless I'm way off you might just be asking at the wrong time. Maybe up the ante and try to get a bunch of bottles for a grab bag of JK and TX locals..this type of ISO allows to to find out who is holding a lot and gives you a chance to scale back to 2 bottles if needed.

I feel they are mostly overpriced. For $17 I've gotten far superior beers. Sometimes 2 of them.
