I would love to get my hands on their barleywine, but I'm sure that's wishful thinking for now.

XXIV came to Houston months ago on tap. Only way I see more coming is if someone held it back.

    Not sure about Austin though.

Did you guys know what happened with clown shoes? I heard there was no new stuff coming in since they did a Collab with Brash Brewing and apparently Ben from Petrol Station owns it. I guess he was trying to cheat the three tier system in Texas by brewing out of state and sending product in. Im not sure I am just going by what a friend told me he heard from someone at Specs and also after reading a few articles online.

Brash gets no distro in TX. No cheating the system.

As far as i've heard it came down to the fact that his first beer was a "collab" with clown shoes. Who owns what is where the argument came to. No new clown shoes until all is sorted out. We've missed Clementine 1.5 and i'm sure we'll miss the double pecan pie and whiskey blaecorn. Of course that means no Brash either

I got this responce from them stating that they may be pulling out of Texas. Not sure I buy it since they were getting new beers out to Texas for a long time before the mess with Brash happened.

On twitter Clown Shoes just said the Pecan Pie was coming to TX.

Also, why approve labels (as noted above) if you are pullijg out of Texas? Why would TABC approve their labels if there was an issue?

We never claimed to be pulling out of TX nor do we want to.

New beers are going to be about four to six weeks behind the release, as we need to submit them for ABV testing and then into the TABC. Label approvals are not enough, which we get done in advance.

Texas is a great market and we are committed to it.

The Brash fiasco was not an attempt to cheat the system. Mercury is set up as the "owner" of the brand and Ben is creative director. We thought all was legal and above board, but when the TABC explained that he could have no involvement whatsoever we agreed to not sell in TX until the time, if it ever comes, the laws change.

Rogness is not even available is most of Austin... theyre only in about a dozen or so stores. On top of that, I believe they self-distribute right now, so it's not going to leave Austin unless they physically drive it somewhere else.
