Bird's Serendipity. Not a particularly serendipitous encounter....

 

Visited the Farne Islands, popped into a gastropub not far from the departure point after returning.
3 local beers, 2 local breweries all as dull as the proverbial. Even a local 'craft' brewery's offering should have been sued by ditchwater for defamation of character.

 

birthday beers from my bro to rescue the drinking day include Stone Smoked Porter and Black IPA.

I hope after independence we can have some sort of cross border beer trading going on, as it would be a shame for that to stop

 

Green Flash 30th Street Pale Ale & NoLi Noble Hop Extra Pale Ale, two very drinkable beers. Wish I had a few more bottles.

 

had those guiness bottles last night, didn't think much of them although the stronger one was better

I had imbibed a fair bit of wine though so might have to try them again
