It's not that bad. Mind you, this bottle has a best-before of March 2013, so it has taken on more than a hint of sherry.....

I'll let you fellas know what's what when I get the beers. Since EG just started carrying them, hopefully their distributor did the right thing and sent them fresh stock.

thankfully Viven's Imperial IPA kept it short
    I have Siren's
    Limoncello IPA

then due to the big nature of tonight's drinking tomorrow at breakfast
I will dare their breakfast stout (Broken dream) at actual breakfast time :O

I had to have a meet with my son's form tutor so I didn't have Siren' breakfast stout for breakfast
B&M's had Shep Neame Amber Ale which **SHOCK HORROR** is so so

    Laverstoke's Organic Real Ale
I couldn't quite recall if I had tried the ale (remembered the lager)
Though I could quite honestly believe I tried it and forget all about it.

I forgot to ask you fellas...does Kernel date their bottles?

  13. CwrwAmByth

Yep! Should have a bottled on date as well as a best before date (6 months after bottling for pale ales, 3 months after for IPAs).

    De Ranke Kriek.

Also, Hacker-Pschorr marzen with authentic bratwurst, sauerkraut and mustard. Perfection.

    Flying Dog's Dogtoberfest. Malty....

Did you go into the Black Horse? They should have a couple of decent brews....

York Guzzler, last one from the cask and an inch below the brim so I accepted it as a half.Absolutely in top nick with excellent lacing , says much for the cellaring skills at the Manvers Arms. Tribute to follow, a good "find it everywhere" beer which nevertheless goes down well.

Couldn't get in the door sadly nor see the sticks for shoulder to shoulder punters, I'll give it another go tonight. We ended up at The Endeavour for last orders yesterday, Slightly Foxed Quick Brown Fox there made up for all the generic blonde, pale cack.

It'll probably be worth forcing your way in. They should have something from Black Dog on cask (the local brewery - though currently contract brewed at Hambleton).

I'm currently quaffing a mug of Schwaben's Das Helles (Aldi Oktoberfest bier). It's not bad, and went well with the pork loin steaks I made earlier....

    I really enjoy it
even with the hefty(well for Aldi) £1.79

Me myself shall open this bottle of Siren Craft's Broken dream
because the Limoncello ipa was so nice and also to take away the temptation
of drinking a breakfast stout at breakfast time lol

    jazzyjeff13 Poo-Bah (2,836) Nov 6, 2010 United Kingdom (England)

    Time to step it up....

Kirkstall's Dissolution Extra IPA. Hops galore!

  27. EmperorBevis

    EmperorBevis Poo-Bah (3,176) Sep 25, 2011 United Kingdom (England)

Right I know I have yet another long shift tomorrow
    but I want another ale
and also give Brains Craft a chance at redeeming itself
I've had Barry Island & Boilermaker both very lacklustre
and Bragging Rights which despite an amazing pitch and ingredient was merely okay and basic beery.
So onto a bottle of Atlantic white
now let's a) see if it's any good and b) see if it is at least better than Whoregarden.

Drank too much £1 Becks at 'oktoberfest' in the most studentiest pub around, got home and randomly tweeted Brewdog calling them "poser ass bitches". Hashtag hypocrisy.
