Buxton Axe Edge. On cask at one of my locals. Three pints this lunch, four pint carryout for tonight. Three pounds a pint. 2.80 with Camra discount. For the best cask IPA in the UK.

Found a couple of bottles of Duvel at the back of the cupboard, so them

Brewed up 21l of American IPA today, fingers crossed it'll be good

Independence was great. Now on Wild Beer Co's Madness IPA. I can taste the madness.....

Owd Roger has to be one of Marston's best beers.

Did you have Fyne's Superior IPA on cask?

 

Thomas Hardy Ale 1991. Maybe the best drop of beer I've ever had!

 

It's good. But it's not Axe Edge. Axe Edge at the pub down the road with takeout.

 

It's not Axe Edge, but it's pretty damn good. I only had it recently.

 

Partizan Pale ale (Amarillo/Pacific Jade). Tasty.....

 

Isn't it great to find a beer & fall in love with it?!

What I love about Fyne beer is finding one I love and drinking the arse out of the cask. Happens rarely down here. But it's a day of days when it occurs.

 

Arbor Ales' Down Deeperer - this is insanely boozy. Good thing I don't have to work tomorrow....

Could the rarity of the event be due to you not remembering anything afterwards?

 

I am so spoilt having Fyne in the local pubs all the time. Makes me a bit indifferent to most of the great beer coming up from down south. Only the best of it is better than what I’m used to getting from 40km up the road.

Ironically enough Superior IPA is one of the very few I’m not fussed about. Too heavy, too resiny.

 

Had these last night. Amarillo & Orange Saison is amazing. Cucumber & Juniper, very good once I started to get used to it.
