Hey all! I may have found a nice little gem of a store close to me. Most around the GR area may have heard of Sicilianos. Don't get me wrong, this is not a knock on them, they are SPECTACULAR for what they do and I would rate them a 5 out of 5 as far as beer stores go. But I was surprised to see that they didn't carry any Dogfish Head at all. I am kind of new to craft beer and wanted to try some. I thought I was out of luck.
I did the "Fish Finder" on Dogfish's site, and they showed this "AJ's" place. I stopped there after work today and was pleasantly surprised! Hey had about 5 different types of Dogfish Head beer, along with MANY other hard to find types! The clerk was eager to help and anxious to hear some suggestions of highly rated BA beers.
It's a tiny little store, so I wouldn't go there expecting to be blown away by a selection, but I just wanted to give a shout out to a little store that seems to be trying to help.
The clerk even pulled a few out from under the counter that he was excited about:
    Dogfish Head: 120 Minute IPA
    Dogfish Head: Worldwide Stout

Even the prices were very competitive! So like I said, it was just a little place, really in kinda a strip mall type of place, but I was pleasantly surprised anyway.
They don't seem to have a website yet, but here is a google page for them:

Ha ha ha! Too funny man! This crossed my mind, but as much as I enjoy craft beer, I can't help but share the news. :D I just went there and got 2 bottles of World Wide Stout. And hey, the more people hear the more they buy the more they can expand, the more beer they buy!!!

I just looked at that beer distribution map and it doesn't even look like three floyds distributes to Michigan

Unfortunately we don't get Three Floyds up here. Considering how much trouble they have meeting demand in the Chicagoland/NW Indiana area we probably won't for years, if ever.

That is correct they use to a long time (More than 5 years) ago. I have lots of Alpha King, and Robert The Bruce, they're my "normal" go to beer. founder26 BM me if you need some.

Siciliano's not carrying Dogfish brews is not by choice. There are distribution issues that prevent anyone in Kent county from legally buying much Dogfish Head at all.

Yup, I just went back there today and spent big money. Bought 2 bottles of the 120. :) What can I say....? I'm weak willed!!
The guy at the counter (I'll have to find out his name) said he checked on "Plead the 5th" for me and he can't get it anymore. So we agreed "There is always next year"! He's a cool cat though, seems very willing to go out of his way to get what we might want. So please at least keep the suggestions coming to him! It benefits us all in the long run.

Alright cool Ron I'll tell him you said hi! Thanks for the info! Yeah, but Better Half is a little more highly sought after. I saw that line standing outside of Founders on the release date of that. CRAZY! But I know the big one is coming on the 10th... ;)
