Anyone have any thoughts on either of these/if they did them last year how were they? Any info is appreciated. Thanks! http://www.chefnbrewfestival.com/ http://www.wheretoeat.in/2013-denver-bacon-and-beer-festival/
Chef n Brew was an absolute nightmare last year. Poor planning, WAY overcrowded, bad venue...I'd say about half of the people left in the first hour because of how crappy it was. If the event planners took any of the feedback to heart, though, I could see it being a good fest. I stuck it out and once most of the people left, I had a good time.
I'm giving Chef n Brew a shot this year. I didn't go last year, but heard the stories. They've moved it to a bigger venue this time around and can't really afford to jack this up again. The same guys put together the South Denver Beer Fest and Fermentation Festival over the Summer, which both came off well. Hoping for the best.
Chef n Brew was crowded last year, sure, but most of that came from the layout of the venue rather than the actual size of it. With all those half walls everywhere, it just got really confusing and lines started snaking all over the place. I'm hoping they learned their lessons. I am always willing to forgive a little for first timers.
