My boss just pulled out a 2011 bottle for sale. I'm tempted to buy it.

It's still beer right, and not liquor, so it's still perishable. Although at that ABV it's getting into Liqueur territory.

I acquired a bottle of '09 Utopias that was 3/4 full last summer, and have had a little every couple months and if anything, it has continued to get better. I assume it was opened when it was relatively fresh, so its going on 4 years open, and is still excellent.

This one is served room temperature like an after dinner drink. I just finished a bottle a couple months ago that had been opened and closed (it has a screw top "cap" ) for over a year. Oxidation yes, but still tasty.

I finished my 2002 bottle in 2010. It was still drinking well.

I've been searching everywhere for a bottle. Does anyone have a lead on where I might find one? Feel free to BM me if there's one nearby you, and maybe we can work something out!

Once you open it, just be sure to drink it before you die.

    we have a bottle somewhere.
the only advice you may consider is that it is a big beer, perhaps not really beer at all, a gimmick, and quite likely not nearly as good as you expect. kind of like a water park I suppose. then again, who knows? just don't break the bank for this mystery and you won't be disappointed.
    yawn.

we plan to auction ours in a few decades, before we die. semi-serious. some young d-bag will surely pay for a trip to Paris. I just can't think of any reason to crack it. and we have zero curiosity ourselves.
    Cheers.

I assume it will age forever since it took me well over a year to drink the last bottle I opened (of the 09) and it was great from start to finish (best around 6 months after opening).

I had some more of my bottle I opened 5 years ago the other day. Tasted fine still. I thought it definitely lost some of its flavor and its zip though.
