Sad news on the passing of a true leader in the the Australian beer scene.

Burragarong Bock was the beer the we were all chasing 10-15 years ago.
I remember searching all the bars and pestering all the staff at The National Festival of Beers for info as to when this legendary beer would be pouring. Then when it hit the taps the 2 or 3 kegs they had barely lasted half an hour.

As Kirrilly mentioned at another source. Everyone has thier own story of Geoff. I do not know of another person that could say a 4 letter swear word with such conviction.

I never met Geoff but read plenty about him in some interesting Willie Simpson articles. Sounds like an interesting life, that's for sure.

Did a very good job with the Australian Hotel and it was pretty well the best craft pub going in Sydney that i can recall during his tenure.
