If he doesn’t plan on brewing a "Vanilla Ice Cream Milkshake IPA," he should stop the project now.

I wish him the best of luck. Hopefully the beer will be good, and maybe even a few people who don't normally drink anything besides the usual macros will at least give his beers a try.

I recently posted my speculation that Vanilla Ice might be the spokesperson for the 'new' IPA substyle Cold IPA.

Maybe at his brewery he will market it as Ice Ice IPA (IIIPA)?

    Cheers!

On the face of it, this doesn't sound to me like that bad of an idea. It sure beats the hell out of some of these rock bands collaborating with a brewery on yet another insipid lager.

I don't know, recording artists (was gonna write "musicians" but I'm not familiar with the OP subject's work) opening breweries has an uneven history - I'm still waitin' for sweet baby James'
Note the date - a year after Sierra Nevada started, a number of years before Boston Beer Co. and Harpoon began brewing in MA.

Ok, you get a pass on that one.

But Mr. Ice can surely surpass these offering. I for one have no interest in finding out and not looking forward to to a dozen fluff pieces that include "Craft Beer" and "80's D-Bag" in the headline. Thanks @Todd

    Cheers

A friend of mine in college lived next door to the Taylor family in Chapel Hill. He often brought Anchor Steam that was given to him periodically. He said that Anchor was their house beer. Circa 1973. As far as I know Anchor had no North Carolina distribution in those days, but I drank several good ones.
