I collect metal-inspired beer names like some people collect beer labels. Stuff like Sleigh'r, Maiden the Shade, Mean Manalishi, Highway to Ale, etc. Anyone else got any favorites?

I have not seen anything metal inspired yet in my area, and I would be the first to collect such. I have been into death metal for 17 years and no plans on stopping!

I would gladly pay someone 50 dollars JUST for this label on the beer alone!

don't forget three floyds' amon amarth and rye'd da lightning.

i'm hoping someone comes out with a sunn 0))) inspired label, or wolves in the throne room, or ufomammut, or wintersun.

i'd settle for (shudder) dream theater. maybe as a milk stout? cream theater? perhaps that one needs a second draft.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but both Motorhead and Kiss have beers brewed and distributed in Sweden. Yes, I know Kiss is far from metal

Great thread! I am sure that I am exaggerating in wanting such a thing. Sadly there was a Dogfish Head Death Metal but only release as draft and not into bottle.

The original Death Metal was a contest winning beer that one of my friend's made. He helped DFH brew the version that was available at Rehoboth. The original was way better than the one that gets rated on here from DFH IMO.

I think Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye and Narwhal have some metal-like artwork.

HA! I was thinking of you too! But in the day when I had a car I would have maybe tried to make it to Texas just for this! Though I have been to Texas many times in years ago...

    Voodoo did trapped under eisbock.

Kid Rock (not really metal, but maybe a little bit) makes a macro-ish beer that is only available in detroit.

Also, not metal inspired, but all the darkness bottles are pretty metal.

While we're at it, what exactly is the correlation with metal and craft beer? I've noticed it a lot around here and with breweries, not to mention I love craft beer and I also love really heavy metal. Is it just one of those things?
