Visiting Houston Tonight-Monday... looking for a few spots

Unfortunately right now you will not find any Bishop Barrel or the New Karbach Barrel Aged IPA. They are currently between BB releases and the BA Rodeo Clown hasn't been released yet.

You can however visit Karbach Brewery and see if they have anything interesting on tap. Buffalo Bayou also does weekend tours. Saint Arnold does tours Mon - Sat. Saint Arnold recently opened their taproom late last year so you can have lunch and some beers at the brewery. 8th Wonder is a reasonably new brewery and they will have a tour this Saturday.

Also, be sure to stop by D&Q and Specs Midtown for some bottles.

St. Arnold had BB2 with brett for a while during the weekend tours and they still might. They also had some BB4 available during certain times, although I can't remember the exact times it was available.

 

Hay Merchant and Petrol are pretty solid bets on bars, I would also add Mongoose vs Cobra in midtown. They also have had Bishop's Barrel beers pretty late after the release. They have never been posted on the menu when I've had one, just ask. At one point they had 2, 4 and 5 so it could be a possibility (on site consumption only)

 

I wouldn't say you won't find Bishops barrel around. Yes it has been out for a while and gone most places but I run into them every now and then. They tend to stick around at Lil Woodrows in midtown. Give them a call and you may have some luck. Also Saint Arnold tweeted that they will have Bishops at Cottonwood for the tap take over Saturday at 7pm. Live music too.

Seeing youre from UK I would say go to Karbach tour on Fri or Saturday and enjoy the nice weather we are having. They had the Bourbon Barrel Hellfighter -FUN 007 on tap (extra cost) last Saturday.

 

BB2 with Brett is still on tap at the tour hall. I don't think that we have any BB bottles for sale right now.

Definitely would recommend Cottonwood Saturday for our tap takeover. It's going to be fun and we usually have a good number of employees out there to chat with.

I'm heading to Galveston for a bachelor party this weekend. We have a party bus and we'll be hitting up Karbach and Buffalo Bayou Saturday. If you see a big group of guys say hi, I'll be the 6'5" one. I pre-apologize for the rest of the guys in the group.

We are also doing the tour at Saint Arnold tomorrow.

 

Look for Saint Arnold somewhere around MP 23. I had some last year in an effort to dull the pain. Good luck!

There is a franchise of a mediocre bar called Baker Street Pub. There are multiple locations. They always get BB bottles, and as of a week ago the Baker Street in Katy still had BB5. The BB bottles always tend to sit around for a long time at the Baker Streets because most people don't know they get them and because most people who go to the Baker Streets are certainly not going to order them. Hope this helps.

 

My brother-in-law who tends bar at Local Pour in River Oaks told me last weekend they still have some BB (can't remember if it was 4 or 5). I'd probably call ahead to check first though.
