I'll be in that area on Saturday, first stopping at Bell's with some buddies, then hopefully finding a good bottle shop.

Can any locals please give me a heads up of where to go? I'd be especially interested in finding out if Short's (especially strawberry shorts cake) and Kuhnhenn is sold there.

I'd appreciate any knowledge dropped. Thanks!

Drake Party Center is my first choice for a bottle shop. However, I have not been there recently to know if any Strawberry Shorts Cake is there. Kuhnhenn stuff is very, ultra, highly unlikely to be there because it's rare that any of their stuff gets out of the Detroit area. Tiffany's is good second choice but typically their prices are a little bit higher. Both have about the same selection.

Thank you! Kuhnhenn is that limited, eh?

Yep, it's that rare. The brewery is too small to support it's demand is why the scarcity exists.

Yes to this. There are several brewpubs in MI that make more beer than Kuhnhenns. They are maybe a little more than 1000 bbls/year production.

No more Shorts Cake at Drakes. Was there last night.
