Anyone else out in this neck of this woods? AKA Aspen, Snowmass, Carbondale, Basalt, El Jebel, etc

Lets set up a proper bottle share, got plenty of goodies out here. I'm in Snowmass, a day or two before NYE would work. Am guessing I'm the only one but can't hurt to ask!

P.S. You wouldn't believe what sticks on the shelves here. High class shelf turds or what?

Pretty much anything we get- limited distro out here but the only bottles I've seen sell out quick (see: less than one week, not hours) were BA Bigfoot and BCBCS. BCBS and BCBBW still on shelves as of this morning plus tons of Uncle Jacobs, some other Avery BA stuff like Thensaurum, a bunch of Bruery, etc. Was able to find Momi Hiwa two months after the release and as much Velvet Merkin as I wanted. Now only to convince 12%/CS to send their beers out here.. Then again we have Casey Brewing & Blending opening up here sooner than later

I'll be up in Snowmass snowboarding the 21-28. I was planning on going to Aspen Brewing Company at some point, are there any other places I should hit up? Any good liquor stores I could find some Pliny at?

Awesome. Snowmass got a ton of early snow, I could go on and on about where you should shred.. but this is about beer right?

I don't usually buy Pliny but I hear that Roaring Fork Liquors in Glenwood Springs and a place in El Jebel- El Jebel Liquors maybe? usually get Pliny every month and a half or so. Would give them a call before you head over as everything is a bit of a drive around here. If you want a solid selection nearby then 4 Dogs in Basalt isn't too far from Snowmass. They just got Supplication today so you know the RR truck was around here. Good luck!

Any tips on areas to stay or bars to hit up? I'm heading to Aspen next month and trying to figure out where I should setup base.

I won't be of much help here- have yet to find THAT great craft beer bar in Aspen/Snowmass. If you're looking for something easy slopeside at Snowmass then Ranger Station/Wildwood usually have some lips of faith beers on tap. Heard Finnbar in Aspen is nice also.

Regarding lodging the only thing I can tell you is that there are free shuttles between all 4 of Aspen's mountains and lift tickets are good for all four, so if there's a huge price difference between Aspen/Snowmass then you can probably kick it at Snowmass for cheaper and mooch the free shuttle. Check out the shuttle times to make sure you don't get stranded late at night though

Also don't come on the week of Aspen Gay Ski Week or X-Games if you aren't interested in either. Those are probably the 2 busiest weekends of the winter. Hope that helped
