    Ok, first to declare.
Paulaner Original Munchner Helles. Ideal for these rare golden evenings.

I see Beers of Europe has Andechs' Spezial Hell in stock. A perfect lager.

    Nice one.
What year is it? From the 750ml bottle?

2008. And yeah, the Lou Pepe series only comes in a 750ml format.

    Beers of Europe is pricey...

Still looking for the holy grail, a place with a good range and good prices.

Hate to tell you this, but Beers of Europe is about as cheap as you're going to get. Beer-Ritz prices domestic beer better, but their foreign selection is kind of poor.

I've got the 2008 Lou Pepe Framboise which I'm saving for a rain day. Won't be tonight then.

Got a mixed case of Badger, a case of Bombadier, a couple of Meantime London lager, 4 cans of Hobgoblin, a Rodenbach, Kappitel Prior, Pater Lieven Blonde and Wit. That will hopefully keep me going over the warm weekend.

It's pretty poor, you'd think there would be a better choice out there. Even Oddbins and Majestic aren't as good as they used to be, there must be a huge gap in the market.

Or perhaps the majority in this country are happy drinking gnats piss?

    Bingo!
I often find I should make orders from various online shops to ensure the best value, but then you're obviously paying through the arse for shipping and any notion of "value" goes down the fucking drain.
Have you been looking for something in particular?

Nothing specific I guess. Just getting fed up of the 6 or 7 beers easily available through the multiples, but I really can't justify £50+ that the likes of Beers of Europe like to charge

It would be nice just to have a walk in place that doesn't rip the arse out of it. One of my "locals" does Schofferhofer for £3/bottle. That's city centre bar prices. Trade must be around £1.20 or less for that, so we're getting ripped off somewhere.

Jesus Christ. Not to sound like an old man, but do you know how much a bottle of Schofferhofer costs in a Berlin supermarket? 60 cents. 60 FUCKING CENTS. That's not even 60p.
When I worked in Oddbins a couple years back we charged less than £2 for it.
    Where do you live?

I is very poor this weekend and nursing a bottle of Marston's EPA.

Not my chosen style but as it is really warm in this room it is quite welcome with the quenching of the thirstings and the lightness of the mouthy feelingness.

    Sounds Welsh to me :stuck_out_tongue:

Though my son has just being shouting about how can Carlsberg sponsor the England Football team and I had to explain how good beer and English football are total strangers lol

Though If I do suddenly become a billionaire, I might just fix it so Timothy Taylor's sponsor the Dutch team.
