So, a local bottle shop always has markdown sections and i saw they had 2 cases of this beer for .99 cents a pop. i said what the hell ill buy one and see how it is 7-8 months old, what do i have to lose. Well i was actually amazingly surprised how well the nose held up and it still tasted pretty damn good. I went right back and bout 3 sixers of it because it is definitely worth .99 cents at this stage.

anyone else enjoy imperial pumpkins with some time on them? This was just an experiment that turned out rather nice in my opinion. Not as good fresh but like i said....99 cents a bottle.

actually, scratch that i just checked the dates on the bottle ... 7/27/10, nearly 2 years old and still tastes great and smells amazingly of nutmeg.

It's pretty high abv so it should age fairly well. It's a fantastic beer.

I've found them 6-9 months old before, and picked up some this winter to cellar longer term.

At first when I read ".99 a pop" I thought you got each case for that price. That would be a steal.
