Inspired from the thread what are your 5 favorite beers from you state, I got thinking about how different that list was from what 5 beers I actually drink the most from my state. My favorite list was:

    Alewerks Bitter Valentine
    Hardywood Bourbon GBS
    3 Brothers Admiral
    Devils Backbone Congo Pale Ale
    COTU El Duderino

There's limited availability on all of these, however, as Admiral is new only in kegs currently, and the others are limited/seasonal releases. The 5 beers I drink the most from my state determined by choice and availability are the following:

    Blue Mountain Full Nelson
    Devils Backbone Vienna Lager
    COTU Pocahoptus
    Devils Backbone Eight Point
    COTU Ray Ray's

Both lists subject to change when Green Flash opens up in VA Beach next year

I'll make an honorable mention to Modern Times' Fortunate Islands. It hasn't been being canned too long, but it's already a mainstay in my fridge.

Some stuff from Two Brothers I guess to round it out.
As much as I think 3F is IL it technically isn't. If it was, the first 2 would be Alpha King and Zombie Dust.

According to Untappd my Michigan top 5 are:
    1. FBS
    2. Hopslam
    3. All Day IPA
    4. Strawberry Short's Cake
    5. Oddside Citra PA

    Seeing that 3 are seasonal,
Two Hearted and Centennial IPA are my next two most drunk.

Bell's Two Hearted is the beer that I buy most often, and then I have some repeat purchases of Arcadia's Loch Down Scotch Ale and Short's Pontious Road Pilsner. After those three it's probably whatever the last two seasonal releases are from Short's.

I try to check in every beer I drink on Untappd for my own personal amusement. Since July 8th, 2012, my highest in state checkins are as follows:

    Highland Thunderstruck Coffee Porter (25)
    Highland Gaelic Ale (14)
    Highland Oatmeal Porter (12)
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (11, they'll start producing in Mills River soon!)
    Highland Black Mocha Stout (7)
Highland Devil's Britches and Highland St. Terese's Pale Ale (6)

I think there is a trend.

Just switched it from what's available in my state to beers brewed in my state.

That should make a little more sense.

I think I am still in the stage of trying to not drink the same beer twice until I have exhausted my options. However Oregon makes it difficult to exhaust all new options (shameless Oregon is awesome plug). But i do find myself going back to a few mainstays due to cost, hankering for a certain style, or ease of finding it.

    Laurelwood Workhorse IPA
