Between the Heady Topper and the Hill Farmstead Edward, and other VT Brews I have not been able to try yet, VT may have the best beers in the USA. Definitely the best beer per area, given the small size of VT...Great stuff.

Understood, just got excited thinking of the GLBC's great brews including the seasonal Alchemy Hour (miss quoted above by me as the alchemist - must be from my recent haul of heady topper!). Looking forward to the release of the Alchemy Hour again this winter.

Since when are they brewing Cigar City Jai Alai in Alabama?

  27. draheim

    draheim Poo-Bah (2,916) Sep 18, 2010 Washington

I hadn't really thought about this, but here in Washington it's probably the five IPAs that are most commonly found on tap in restaurants:
    Fremont Interurban
    Elysian Immortal
    Georgetown Lucille
    Boundary Bay IPA
    Black Raven Trickster

Honorable mention goes to Fremont Bourbon Abominable, Cowiche Canyon, Bourbon Barrel Aged Kentucky Dark Star, and Old Bridge Rider. Those are probably the four Washington beers I drink most at home.

This would be a much harder question to answer if I lived in Oregon or California.

golden ratio is new and still only on tap; total eclipse is tough out of Toledo, but when you can find it, definitely worth it.

Yeah, the Red is solid and I wish the Imperial Red was a year round offering because that beer is official.

I was just in San Antonio and found a ton of great local beers. It made me think, "I could live in Texas." Haha.

Hmmm, this one is a bit tougher since so many of my favorites are seasonal, but I guess I'll go ahead and list the ones I drink the most due to not being as hard to get:

    1.) Founders Porter
    2.) Kuhnhenn DRIPA
    3.) Bell's Two Hearted Ale
    4.) Dragonmead Final Absolution
    5.) New Holland's The Poet
  34. Rayek

    Left Hand Sawtooth

  37. vkv822

    vkv822 Initiate (0) Nov 30, 2009 Oregon

I rarely repeat beers, and if I do I don't really have any preference to Oregon brewed, but I guess it would break down something like:

    Deschutes Jubelale
    Ninkasi Sleigh'r
    Hair of the Dog Adam
    Burnside Oatmeal Pale Ale
    Boneyard RPM
  38. 77black_ships

    77black_ships Initiate (0) Dec 4, 2012 Belgium

    For Belgium:

    1. Orval (fresh)
    2. Avec Les Bon Voeux (vintage)
    3. Cantillon Kriek or seasonal (I have been drinking a lot of Fou’ Foune recently)
    4. De la Senne Taras Boulba
    5. Abbaye des Rocs Brune

Rodenbach Vin de Cereal used to be on that list until not too long ago but the place run out of it.

I honestly think that all of these are pretty much 5/5 beers. Better than virtually all hard to find beers.
