Started the day with this, while I pondered cleaning up outdoors. We had quite a little thunderstorm earlier in the week.

Four hours later, nearing the end of the clean-up, taking a beer break.

Thank you. It's a parcel of woods behind the house that I spent countless hours clearing of poison ivy, oak, and other invasive species. I like to think it was worth the effort. :astonished:

I have been wanting to try Pseudo Sue for a while and the wait was worth it. I know it gets compared to Zombie Dust a lot and though both beers are excellent I think this one is better. Even my wife liked it and she is not a huge beer person.

One of my top favorite session IPAs. Bright grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, lemon/orange peel, and piney hops; with some light caramel/bready malt balance and crisp/sticky finish. Always outstanding. Very flavorful for the ABV.

My go-to Gose. Big tart lemon, lime, green apple, white grape, wheat, cracker, coriander, sea salt, and and herbal earthiness. Great acidic/saline balanced finish. Very smooth and crisp. Can't wait for this years blood orange to appear soon.

A damn good kolsch style, grabbed another single this week. Balanced flavors of cracker/biscuit/light honey malts and herbal/grassy/light peppery hops and light-moderate fruity yeast complexity. Very flavorful, crisp, and smooth. The yeast character is identical to their Altbier, as expected of course. Spot on to style.

Still tasting awesome. Big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, caramel, toffee, toast, vanilla, bourbon, oak, and light-moderate dark fruit notes. Balanced bourbon/oak spice and roasty bitter finish. Warming finish, but smooth sipping for the ABV. This is extremely similar to Heresy for me, with more intense coffee and malt flavors with the higher ABV. Both are really barrel forward on complexity, and I like having them around when I am in the mood for that character. I bought plenty of heresy since it was so easy to grab last winter, and will do so again later this year. Looking forward to aging this one and see it develop. It has a fair amount of boozy, but acceptable character considering the ABV at it’s current age.

It's Never Too Early For Surly!

Decided to get in early for a change, since I'm heading off to the salt mine to finish some paperwork I didn't get done on Friday. This revved-up cup of Joe should definitely help.

Kaito is going in a more "herbal" direction this morning:

Decided to get started a little early with some coffee…

The coffee has faded a bit compared to the bottle I opened just a few days after I picked up, but it's still tasting pretty damn good. Cheers BAs!
