What beer are you drinking now? #1022

Beer for breakfast? Yep. NBB's Trippel is an old favorite, and a heck of a way to start the weekend.

 

Such a great beer. One of my favorites

 

Both are great, but I definitely think Heady is a little overhyped. Pliny on the other hand is one of my absolute favorites so I think it lives up to the hype. Needless to say, it's all a matter of personal taste though.

 

Cheers everyone and happy weekend. This pumpkin beer is very good, well made and has a crispness to the malt. It's just too sweet for me. Tastes like graham cracker and has very forward cinnamon and some allspice. I love their pilsner and I think they also make a dark lager I need to try.

 

Always loved the artwork. Finally tracked down some of this stuff. Fantastic beer!

 

Samuel Smith India Ale. A tad past its prime, but whatever...

 

Waiting on the Father-in-law to call so we can go pick up our new bed room set. (He has a really big truck that can fit alot a sh*t in it)
But until then passing the time with this...

 

Perfect beer for this time of year.

Upland Tropical Pale Ale at the brewery. Standing line to get my Sour Reserve 6 is thirsty work.

 

Outdoor work done.
Making pickles (lots of cukes from the garden).
Moving up to a heavy hitter. Never would have guessed it's 11% ABV

 

Lunchtime with beer related periodicals.

My perception on aroma is coffee first followed by roasted malt and vanilla. Mouthful is nice blending of cocoa and coffee with vanilla bean on the end. Some bitterness and dryness with the finish. Feels like an Imperial style. Missed 3Beans last year but happy with this purchase.

 

A beautiful Saturday here in the Lou. A quick Pt5 this morning then we're off to the dog park.



The two bigs are soooo ready to go. The little one...not so much.
