Okay, trying Pinedrops for the first time. I know it hasn't been received universally well, but for me, this is unbelievably good. Like, "maybe my new favorite IPA" good. The pine and dank found here are exactly what I love in the style.

Posting my review to express my enthusiasm:

    Cellar temperature in my tulip.

This IPA presents a poofy, pure-white cloud of white foam, about two cm tall, and it stays stubbornly, only to eventually leave a nice mess of lacing behind. The color is a pale golden orange.

Well. This smells deftly dank, definitely. Sweet, floral honey and orange tempt like candy. Dank and piney hops are noted and appreciated enthusiastically.

*Sip.* Oh, ho ho. HO OH HO! WHOAH. Ahem... *sip* 'Kay I'm quite taken. QUITE taken with the level of pine and dankness thrown down by this specimen. Throughout an entire sip, and well into a lingering finish, my mouth is awash with a resoundingly resinous, bittersweet herbal hop dankness of the finest kind. And the tangy orange running underneath this storm of pine needles and hops is the ultimate compliment to said intensity.

The feel is kinda medium, but coats the mouth in a way similar to how various plant juices tend to stick and linger on one's fingers or palate. Anyone who's cooked with their hands on a lotta herbs, like basil for instance, can attest.

To one such as myself who holds pineyness and dankness up as the pinnacles of IPA ideals, this is one of the most supremely superior ones I've EVER had.

These posts are kinda making me sad...passed up this beer so many times since its release due to lackluster reviews...damn it, should've taken the plunge and bought a sixer....
