Just got off work and it's snowing in Nashville! Think I'll start off my "night" with
6 weeks old and this has held up amazingly well.
Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier.
Technically speaking, this was my closer last night, but it was past midnight...
Awesome beer - great flavors and feel.
*Groundhog Day* lol
For a beer which is maybe a couple months past its prime it is drinking quite well and the hops aren't dead by any means, though I can't say to what extent there's been a degradation in the intensity of the flavors since I have no fresh benchmark to go by. With the kind of release patterns that the monopoly has this is as fresh as it's going to get for us, being released just yesterday here. I just know it's a damned tasty beer as it stands.
I've had fresh and older hoppy ales from Sierra Nevada, including Northern Harvest, and I reckon that the hoppy flavours hang in there pretty darned well. Enjoy!
Kicked off saturday morning with a Sixpoint 3 beans.
Had this one on tap at Schlafly a few weeks back. Very nice beer, and the sixers sold out very fast around here.
Tonight I'll try my first Hopslam. I found a display stack at my local grocery that looked very under appreciated.
Well, add me to the 3Beans club. My first 3Beans experience and it is quite tasty.
Westmalle Trappist Dubbel.
Terrapin Wake 'N' Bake aged on Wisconsin cherries.
While I can't drink yet, I do love that this pub is open 24/7! Cheers, all!!! Enjoy your Saturday!

Right Brain Naughty Girl Stout from Traverse City, MI is a perfect beer for this cold and snowy morning. Really tasty beer, seriously tastes like a thin mint cookie.
Gorgeous morning in Texas. Last football game of the year tomorrow. Have to play big. Drinking a brooklyn black chocolate stout while i make my picks. Right now, i'm thinking ravens ml and under.
Deschutes Red Chair NWPA in my glass now. It showed up this week but the best by date is April 27th.? Oh well, I still love it.
Edit: Mike at Poplar Wine & Spirits told me he would try to get the BA Bigfoot in but no promises.
Enjoying a nice stout this morning. Yum.
Have you ever had the beer that is printed on your glass? I was given a bottle last weekend and I think I will let it sit until Dec 25th.
I didn't go this morning, but Jimmy the groundhog says that spring is on it way!
Funtime is over, time for some Swedish macro beer .
A Kranz ("crown") of homebrewed Koelsch on a sunny SC day (check my brewing buddy's nerdy handiwork on the beer mat...awyea!)
I haven't. First time hearing of it. Let us know how it is.
I had some reluctance to drink a beer at 10:45am but the last 2 Hopslams in the fridge were calling my name...
Corsendonk Christmas is by far my favorite of the traditional christmas style beer
Early afternoon treat from the cellar:
Two left with their caps still on. The third in my glass. And a heavy snow falling in the forest and a warm fire. Cheers!
VIP tickets to the Rhode Island Brew Fest. So I'll be drinking a lot of new/local beers today.
I found the icing on the cake for Red Chair to be that the beer was great fresh and it was great with a little age too. I had a couple bottles last season post Best-By-Date and it was still delicious.
I take your sucks and add one
Put me down for 2 of these. And counting...
