    I guess this is the only way I can be made to drink a Porter. Mix it with some lager and call it a "Black and Tan". My first beer of this "style" and I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I was skeptical at first.

    Happy Monday, BA's

    Working from home today; have to have my well pressure tank replaced today, big $$, but it will be nice to be able to use my water again! Having been able to only drink beer the past few days has been a HUGE hardship!

    Since GLBC is releasing their crazy popular Christmas Ale in 3 weeks, the glass seemed appropriate! Also looking forward to their new Oatmeal Stout release at the same time....yum!

    My lady and I started getting into sours recently, so we brought these two bad boys to the top of Snake Mountain. Refreshing quaff after a nice fall hike, complemented by views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks.

    Good morning BAs! Looks like it might be a pleasant (though cold) week here in NW PA. Only 17 apples today, most of them nearly edible, and NO yellowjackets. Looks like I might harvest some squash this week but the end is near for the tomatoes. Breakfast today is Hoppin Frog's Gangster IPA, something I picked up Saturday between the the wedding and the reception. A decent beer - wonder what it'd be like fresh. Hoppin Frog - please date your beer so we know if the dealer/distributor is abusing us!

    Good Morning, BAs! Well, the flooding is still bad here in Charleston, so I'm stuck at home with the kids for at least another day. The wife & I had a great weekend between the Westbrook BA Mexican Cake Release Party on Saturday and her birthday yesterday. Last evening, she opened my beer cabinet looking for something 'special', and grabbed this big boy. She left plenty for me to sip on today. :grinning: Cheers!

    Kicking lunch off with a MBC Mean Old Tom on Nitro. This beer lends itself well to the nitro. Silky smooth indeed.

    Onto my first experience with Rushing Duck, with a Pay to Play IPA. This baby is clean, smooth and mellow. Soft carbonation and delicate hops. May not be in your face flavor but it's that understated characteristic that allows the craftsmanship to shine through. Needless to say, I'm impressed and delighted. Will seek out more Rushing Duck.
