Having a Jai Alai and missing the .25 cent beer and hot dog days when we would duck out of work early and catch a Jai Alai game or 2 at the Tampa Fronton. Ripped a vid from the net for you for your viewing pleasure. Good times! Cheers people!

Enjoying some of last night's Brooklyn Blast! again tonight. So good. I wish they'd make a version of this that's bottle-refermented like Local 1.

I had that and Dirty Bastard back to back a few months ago and I must say I didn't dig Old Chub very much. The Chub is a little more to style but it was just to cloying sweet for me, especially compared to the DB.

Preference went to 2011. The 2012 coffee presence was obviously stronger, but it was dominate and at times the combination of huge black coffee coupled with bitterness made it slightly astringent. In the 2011 the coffee mellowed out, allowing some other great stout flavors like chocolate, dark fruits, etc to comes out. Def prefered the 2011 vintage.

I was introduced to Scotty Karate a few weeks ago and my feelings haven't changed. Best Scotch Ale made in the US. And shows you don't need a barrel to be complex and otherworldly (yes, I look at you Backwoods Bastard)

I still have a Batch 001X2 sitting in my cellar. It calls out my name every once in a while but so far, I've been able to ignore it.

My first ever Everett. Gushed out of the bottle and was worried it would be infected. It's not and its delicious. The best porter out of a bottle.
