First bottle didn't hit me right, but this has grown on me as I've churned through the six pack.

Thanks for the thoughts. At least in the last two or so years, I've been able to open a new world of non-BMC stuff to him and have "converted" him, although it's still mainly Pils and Ambers.:wink:

Cheers BeerVikingSailor. I've always been a collect and purge, collect and purge weirdo. Nice thing about being a beer nut, the "collecting" doesn't stick around (unless you count the beer gut or glassware). BTW, just picked up some Liberty.

Hey again, BA's! Just a bit after 11 here in NOVA & I'm gonna find a seat on the Sensi wagon:
    Yum!

So, it's Saturday. Time for another installment of BA Anime Saturday! I think this might be the 6th edition. Ya'll know my disclaimer by now, no need for another re-hash :stuck_out_tongue:

I've been sidestepping one of the more obvious choices for a while now, but today just feels right for this heavy-hitter:

All hyperbole aside, this film genuinely was groundbreaking - from both an animation standpoint & in terms of overall execution. The sprawling plot is told in a surprisingly lucid way, especially given the genre - this film truly re-wrote the rulebook of what 'Anime' could aspire to be.
I could only find the subtitled version, which isn't bad - although I was secretly hoping to find the original US dub, which is (in my opinion) the most iconic version of the film from a stateside perspective.

As always- Drink up & drink on, my fellow advocates!

    Whew!

Beautiful beer, and a great change up to the ton of crappy American lagers I've tossed down my throat this week while hashing.

About to head over to a friend's house for brunch; bringing this one with me.
