Just did some shoveling and had a snowball fight with the kids. Time for a Foolproof Raincloud Robust Porter.

Considering the current weather conditions in West Michigan, this is an incredibly apropos brew.

Just got home from work. Kids are napping, wife is at work, it's Friday afternoon and I'm already drinking beer. Plus I have a crazy box from Evilc on the truck for delivery (silva stout and kopi luwak!!!). Life's good.

    Alesmith's My Bloody Valentine.

Just found out the bottle shop near my office has Hopslam. Will be making stop on the way home to pick up my first sixer ever of it.

The only reason I knew was because of a comercial. The first one is one of my favorite games of all time! Anyone playing it on PS3?

Nice! NN and Sucks is a great hop combo. I'm going a bit old school with my game selection. Alternating between Super Nintendo and Playstation 2 since I don't have anything more current than that. Actually I have my brother's Wii somewhere.

It's solid. Very balanced and smooth, not too heavy, hoppy. Every time I see one of these darker beers from Alesmith I never expect to like them but I always do. This is the type of beer i'd be thrilled to find on tap at a bar.

What better than a new local IPA after my son and I get back from a snowy hike through the pear orchard? What better music to welcome the blizzard still to come?

Triple bag & disappointed but not a drain pour. Have so many other beers that I wanted to crack but it does pack a punch.

As the hours progress and the snow starts to fall, all I'm thinking about is getting home from work (which I'm still at!) and enjoy a few cold ones. What's everybody got for tonight/tomorrow while we ride out the storm?

I have some DFH black and blue, some lagunitas sucks, a bottle of founders backwoods bastard, DFH 120. Debating on stopping and getting a bottle of Brooklyn black ops on the ride home
