Nightcap, some 3beans. Surprisingly, pretty good.

 

NO INFECTION! That beer is great. It's so young that would be really hard to detect any way.

 

Who the heck cares? ( It was just bottled and the bottles never last very long on any shelves so quit 'yer pretentious whining! )

 

You rock, dad! (I love those same times with my kids as well!)

Listening to Miles Davis the Complete Live at the Plugged Nickel 1965 while sipping on a FW16. Nothing like the second great quintet and an amazing beer.

 

$26 is a total rip-off. Milk every bottle of that sixer and don't buy another one from that same place.

 

Tonight, I had one of the most amazing beer nights I've had in my young beer career. After working as a server from 3-10, my friend, whom I haven't seen in a year, called me to come to a party a block away from my house. I obviously went to said party and caught up with my old friend. I didn't know the hostesses, and I didn't know many people at the party. However, about 20 minutes into my time there, Abby, a hostess, brings out a couple bottles of bourbon county stout, one of them being CHERRY RYE. I naturally inquire about said bottles and she says, "Oh yeah my boss just gave me these and I was gonna try them with Chris." (she works at Chicago Magazine as an editorial intern or something, I don't know Chris.) Anyway, I asked if I could have a taste and explained the background and nature of cherry rye. She obliged, thankfully, and I had an amazing time tasting this wonderful beer.
