    (I'd be more impressed if the caps on every one of those bottles were popped.) In fact, not one of those bottles have a popped top on them (even the ones in the background)...SHENANIGANS!!!!

    It's been a long time since I've had a Samuel Smith's, but I'm braising some short ribs for dinner and needed something to add to the little bit of Espresso Yeti I had capped in the fridge. So I picked up one of these--put half in the braising liquid (with shallots, garlic, broth, rosemary, a little brown sugar, and a bay leaf) and drank the other half.

    Good stuff--I'd say RIS has come a long way since this recipe, but it's still delicious.

    Yesterday was my birthday and my wife took me to the following taprooms in Minneapolis: Harriet Island, Dangerous Man and Fulton's. I was able to have some great beers at each location. As for right now, I am having a Chainbreaker White IPA.
