My favorite type of burger- especially with horseradish mustard on it. Great pairing, sounds like!

Actually, I think he had it right - I don't think the issue was quality control at the brewery. From what I recall, Founders said that if that beer gets older than 90 days the quality is seriously diminished. Evidently, they have confirmed this experimentally. They apparently found 90+ day old Red's Rye in the marketplace one time too many and vowed not to let people drink it that way.

I support the decision. I love the beer, but I hardly ever buy it in bottles because it's hard to find fresh ones and it's on growler stations quite frequently where I live. I like knowing that it's going to be a seasonal and any bottles found will be as fresh as possible.

Starting the evening with a few Schlafly AIPA's. Thinking a Bigfoot and/or Duvel on deck for later.

    Prost!

Had about 2/3rds of a growler of Thirsty Dog Barrel Aged Siberian Night Imperial Stout:

And I hit the trifecta at the beer store earlier today:

Guess I'll finish what's left of the growler tomorrow night. Cheers everyone!

Mmmmm- pineapple/mango goodness. First Flying Fish beer that impressed me. Now all they gotta do is get it on tap at my local tavern, but one step at a time is just fine by me.

Somewhat forgotten in the shadow of Sucks, Hopslam, and Nugget Nectar, but can't beat it for the price.

I didn't get to celebrate valentines day yesterday due to work so I decided to celebrate tonight. My wife has wanted me to open this ever since she tried it a few weeks ago at a tasting. For someone who doesn't consider herself a beer drink she sure does like some great beer.

Holy mother of Super Monkey Ball 2 on the Nintendo Gamecube! This stuff knocked my socks off. That first aroma blew me away, similar to how my first Head Hunter did (though in a different way). So happy I was able to get my hands on this while I'm visiting Chicago. So happy I made my taxi driver take a detour on the way from the airport to the hotel to grab this.

(And I know the bottle is full, the label on the other was funked up, so I wanted to give my fellow BA's a nice and perrty picture. Sue me.)

    Cheers.

This was a great beer - a spot-on IPA with a smooth malt base and crisp, bitter piney hops. Looking forward to more good things from Great Divide (like Yeti!!!)...

Bad Boy. Evilc sent it to me after i mentioned that i'd be on vacation with the family today through next week. The guy sent a growler of Bad Boy to my hotel and had it delivered the day I arrived. A pretty awesome surprise when I was checking in! Chris, you are awesome. Cheers!

Let's see, I have a few on deck for tonight. Too lazy to take a pic right now.

    Lagunitas Hop Stoopid - bomber
    Stone Ruination
    Victory Hop Wallop

I did pick up a 4pk of Palate Wrecker and some loose Founders Imperial Stouts still on the shelf. The Sucks is drying up by me. I did grab the last single off the shelf tonight. Aaaaand, I happened to come across a place with at least a case of Bitches Brew on the shelf. Heading back tomorrow.
