    Sweet Saturday BA's

    Did a quick 5K Color Run fundraiser for a colleague who will kick cancer's ass...honey-do's are done and almost time to head out with two good friends (brothers, more like) are heading to some tasty brew places to quaff and shop

    nippin on this carryover from last night...not bad, hot and tasty...viscosity not as powerful as Ol raspy proper

    My last bottle of this, aged in the dark 2 years...splitting with a buddy.

    The fruit cocktail notes are out of this world from this bottle. Just unbelievable. I've had varying flavors of Vitus from different bottles and taps - all good, mind you - but this one is just super fruity delicious. I love it!

    Backwoods Bastard and buffalo chicken dip at The Brass Tap in Orland Park. I'm loving it on tap more than the bottle and that's saying a lot. It's definitely smoother and loaded with vanilla. A nice start to Saturday fun!

    Moved on to more beer as reward as I actually told the guvment about my emissions success. That called for a grand beer:

    Washington Post Sunday Arts (they put the non-"news" stuff out a day early) section had a little write up about Bowie's newest album, relating it in the likes of Zevon's last. Decided to give it a listen as Spotify gave me an alert about it a couple days before he passed. Somewhat haunting and I'm a sucker for that sax. Giving it a second "spin" as I topped off my Vitus (second pour, sorta).
