Finishing my night with a new favorite--Hopslam. Enjoy the rest of your Friday all.
This is just awesome
One of my main stores finally got in their Hopslam, and either they got a lot (relatively speaking) or they really appreciate my patronage, because I was able to buy a whole six-pack (I am... unfamiliar with this experience) and - yes, there's an "and" - and they also sold me a 4-pack of Sunday Morning Stout (first time this beer hit LI, I think; the only other store I shop at that got it had a one bottle limit (though he sold me two ) *special*
And at the risk of getting all "Post A Picture of Your Latest Haul," they also had a couple of Half Acre products - Daisy Cutter and GoneAway - the Daisy Cutter I've heard of from these forums and expect to be really good (canned 2/17); GoneAway (2/11 canning) is an IPA, and the store owner said it's really good, too.
--> Half Acre doesn't distribute here, but I think the store owner's got another store somewhere or knows someone with a store somewhere, as he occasionally gets some unusual stock in - you know how that goes...
Yeah, so hey, tonight's starting to look a lot like last night - currently diggin' on a Sunday Morning Stout...
Expect more o' the same throughout the weekend...
It's Freyja's Day, BA - give thanks!
Katheryn Winnick, Freyja's avatar (--> see Lagertha, on Vikings...)
Another great TG brew! Cheers
First off, I didn't think ANYONE knew who He Is Legend is, so kudos to you on that one!
Second, I was just in Brooklyn earlier, and the guy I spoke to said that Half Acre literally started distributing to NY this week. That could be why it was on the shelves because in Brooklyn, they had Daisy Cutter and Gone Away by the dozens. Either way, killer beers man! Cheers!!
Finishing the night off proper. Liter of Schlenkerla Maerzen, my favorite. Family is asleep and I can enjoy the previous 12 pages. Cheers!
Deschutes Black Butte Porter. It's been a while since I've had one of these. It's a very good porter with a great balance between the roast bitterness and malt sweetness. It's got a nice clean finish.
Thanks - really dig He Is Legend actually - and great info, too, man - thanks again! Cheers!
Is there a difference? We're working hard to find out!
I'm intrigued as to what the outcome of this will be...Cheers!
Southern Tier 2X SMASH.
These guys seem to get lost in the dynamics in Craft, but this is an outstanding DIPA! Cheers.
@Greywulfken every time I see this beer I think of you gettin' dusted
Ourison hotel style, cheers!

Joe's Stone Crab in Caesar's, Hangar 24 Amarillo Pale Ale. Pretty nice.
Meta Modern is tasty for a session
Enjoying a Heady. Cheers!!!
Dichotomy of this beer... Huge apricot nose but minimal taste
This was left on my desk with a note sayin' it's delicious! Okay, I'll give it a go.
Dude that is easily the creepiest beer pic I've seen before
Hope all my BAs are having a great Friday evening!
Playing a sold out show tonight. Having a 90 Shilling on tap, before the show - complimentary.
Ill be on the sweet drum kit here.
Obviously both delicious. The can was canned 13 days after the bottle, if that makes a difference. My not so awesomely discerning palate did find the can a bit more hop-forward, although my wife found the can smoother. Not sure what smoother means.
My favorite cider, East Branch by Aaron Burr.
A very very late can... why not. I think I've yet to post that special glass here.
Should be enough for a little night buzz
And as we were discussing 311 the other day, a tune I like a lot
Enjoying this courtesy of @KBS
(Disclaimer: Stock photo from internet, and it's the bourbon barrel aged version, cheers!)
Another one from Barrier and it's pretty tasty. Nice biscuit malt to this and very smooth for being damn near 9%.
Thanks for the Krokus, brings back good memories! Gotta say, though, these guys and Bon Scott era AC/DC were joined at the hip sound wise. AC/DC had better songs though.
Smoother? Maybe it went down easier than the bottle? I don't know, but that's my best educated guess (as educated as I can be). Either way, as long as they were both delicious, that's what really matters. Cheers, and thanks for the follow up!
Chronology and a Ratt....
Three Floyds Big Tiddy Assassin Flemish Style Red Ale. Quite sour from the lacto with lots of jammy red fruits and oak. FFF is not always on point with their sours, but this one is very enjoyable.
Finishing my growler of Kane Hop Lab Triple IPA. This is one dangerous beer. Cheers!!!!
I started with Prairie Elizabeth. Which... I drain poured. It wasn't awful, but I sure wasn't enjoying it. So, it was a sad moment to confront the first Prairie beer I didn't like.
It was time to move on to old reliable Almanac. This particular beer is new to me, but it once again proves... Man, they're great.
Think I'll pass on these for my set but you can't blame a girl for tryin'!
Honestly it was a lazy pic but appreciate the props none the less! Always a treat seeing you and your great pictures on this thread. Never thought I'd say this but seeing your posts actually makes me consider checking out New Mexico
