    And closing this Throwback Thursday with 3 artists' takes on I Drove All Night.

    The first release was by Cyndi Lauper in 1989...



    The song was written for Roy Orbison who recorded it in 1987, but wasn't released until 1992 when Jeff Lynne remixed it posthumously and won a Grammy for the album...



    The most successful release (2003) follows with it topping Canadian charts for 5 weeks and also hitting the top in Belgium and Sweden. Pitch perfect soaring tonal control...and such a range.
