No pic, but currently enjoying a Bell's Expedition Stout out of a newly-bought snifter. It's not nearly as boozy as I anticipated, but I'm really looking forward aging the remainder of it.

Westbrook and Evil Twin Mini Growler imperial stout. As soon as I read imperial stout on that awesomely simple label I had to try it. Glad I did.

Bottled March 6, 2010? If so, I have one last bottle left. The last one I tried was amazing!

yep it's bottled 03/06/10 , I'm really amazed how well this one has aged , it's my last 2010 I have two 2011's left and two of the most recent , we opened one of the most recent at a tasting a few weeks back and I'm convinced its infected or they changed the recipe or something ..it's definitely off..

This is hitting the spot, though I could have used this during my 1.5 hour drive home tonight. Must get a cooler for the car.

The 2010, me thinks, can age with the best of them. For how long? I don't know but I'll leave it up to someone *else* to test that out as I plan to drink my last one this year. Oh, and sorry to hear about what's going on with the latest batch.:(

Who else is as excited as I am that this is now bottled? First the Lot No6 and now this. Not a bad start to the year for this up and coming brewery. As for the beer, I don't think I've ever had such a full flavored, full aroma un-imperial stout. You blindfold me and stick this and FBS under my nose and I'm not sure I could tell you which is which.

Tried a few duds since the Ranch and since the last one was a Mikkeller IPA malt bomb (big surprise), sent it back and decided to scrub my palette with a Backwoods Bastard instead. If I'm gonna drink a malt forward beer I'd rather it be barrel aged than hop faded. Prost everyone!

Good description. I found it to be thinner than I was expecting. I may need to try another as I was doing a stout tasting which may have effecting my taste buds at the time.

Agreed! I have a friend in VT right now. I asked him if he could pick up some Heady Topper for me and his response was, "done"!

As I'm drinking it, the body is still pretty big, but it's very drinkable for a beer of its weight. It seems like everything I had read prior to trying the beer portrayed Expedition Stout as being a big, hot, boozy mess before aging it. The batch I'm drinking now was bottled at the end of December 2012, so it's still pretty fresh.

I definitely won't be having a second one, though - the rest is headed to the cellar! (And by "cellar," I mean my spare closet.)
