Good mornin !
Olde Hickory The Event Horizon
Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! I did a 50 mile bike ride yesterday morning, looking to do something similar today. Glad the weather cleared up for this weekend. They had originally forcasted thunderstorms all weekend earlier in the week, but I haven't seen a drop of rain at all yet. Pre-ride fuel:
Always fantastic, just got a fresh 6 pack last night. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, passion fruit, berry, lemon/orange zest, and light pine; with moderate caramel/toasted bread malts. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness; balanced hop stickiness and bready creaminess in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing dryness; zero astringency. Super juicy on hops thanks to the malt backbone, but never overly sweet. Definitely a go-to IPA favorite now.
Still tasting fantastic after 14 months. Flavors of big caramel, honey, toffee, biscuit, butterscotch, vanilla, raisin, apricot, apple, bourbon, and toasted oak. Fair amount of spicy bourbon/oak and earthy hop bitterness. Full body creamy mouthfeel with light slickness. Bit of dryness from the bourbon/oak spiciness as well. Very smooth sipper, lightly warming finish. Still have a few left, and glad I do.
Tasting amazing after 15 months as expected. Flavors of big chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, molasses, bourbon, and toasted oak; with some light raisin/fig fruits. Light carbonation, with a full bodied creamy/silky mouthfeel. Lightly warming, and super smooth sipping. There is still a a lot of coffee flavor going on here; with perfect balance of the bourbon and roasted malt flavors. I still think fresher is the best, but still holds up extremely well for a few years too. Insanely good.
Good morning and happy sunday!
Paix dieu. 33cl at 10%. An excellent bière d'abbaye. Cheers !
Good morning BAs! A cool foggy day here in NW PA following last night's thunderstorms - supposed to be up into the eighties again today. Today's breakfast beer:
Definitely mango and definitely habanero - well balanced and drinkable - pleasantly surprising! Now I see why we went through it so fast at last week's beer fest.
Some West Coast hop juice for breakfast then mowing the lawn before the thermometer hits 90
Morning BA's and happy sunny Sunday
Forecast sounds identical to yesterday....88 and humid...bit too hot this early for me
This delicious beer will somehow help me cope....
Stay cool and stay hydrated peeps!
Drinking Grey Sail Captain's Daughter
Many thanks @jzeilinger for this nice stout.
Not the best beer in the world but very nice nevertheless. Solid would be a good word.
So, this was pretty good if absurdly good aged imperial porters with coffee and maple are your thing. If not, please feel free to message me to find out how you can send me your unopened bottles.
Morning Wood Song by Robot Chicken
Finishing off this '15 BCBS from last night (and the rain continues here ). No infection at all!! Hope the others I have left fare as well. Cheers!
What??? It's filtered!? Man I can't drink this...
God it's beautiful.
I still can't figure out what's behind the signature Tree House taste. I'm getting the mosaic, but there's a wholesome, smooth flavor that's consistent between all the TH brews I've had (julius, sap, bright, curiosity 26).
Sunday morning calls...
Vitamin "C" calls...
fuzzy beer pic symbolic of my psyche at this juncture of the day/weekend, clarity to come
Enjoy your Sunday BA's...drink well and live better!
Good morning BAs. It looks like it's going to be a beautiful sunny day in the 80s here. I just lit some charcoal to get the grill going again. Today's project is a hickory smoked chuck roast. I'm guessing this will take 8-10 hours of low and slow. While the coals are heating I'm finishing a BBA Plead the 5th I started last night.
Enjoy the day BAs...
I love Bitburger!
5.8% alcohol. Brewed in Michigan.
It was a little skunky, but other than that it was very enjoyable.
Neighbor dropped these beauts off as he was going out of town. I have the best neighbor. Thanks, Mike.
Bonus: He's not looking for sexual favors in return this time.
Just checking, maybe my internet will stay up today. Was not happy with how the Thunder played down the stretch; I fear we've blown the series. Brisket is about to go on the smoker ( expresso/chiplote rub ). Many beers will be drank today, hopefully I will get to spend some time with y'all. What do you say AT&T????
Canned 2 days ago
I think this is my favorite Bomb! variant i've had so far
No glass poolside, no problems deck side!
Good morning everyone! Hope you all have an awesome Sunday!
Cuvee Delphine along side the double eisbocked 40% version, Cuvee Delphine on steroids. My first 40% beer and I gotta say, its fantastic. All the right flavors super concentrated. Goes down like a good bourbon.
Good Morning BA! After 48 hours straight of work, I needed a little malt beverage... Beer Geek Breakfast from Mikkeller... Cheers!
Moving on to this truly awesome beer!
Light on the palate and the wallet! Can't go wrong with a Hoegaarden!
Great choice with the BTBAM. A day that starts with "Ants of the Sky" will certainly be an epic one.
Good morning BA!
Leftover meat lovers pizza + breakfast stout FTW!!!
Im drinking, well no need to go on repeat. Everyone knows the Devil...
Just another rainy sunday afternoon; Im wasting my time, I got nothing to do...
(Im actually busy and on the move but wanted to make the crack)
Starting a beautiful Sunday off with a great beer. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend and thanks to all that have served. Here's to you, cheers!
Good morning! Big rain going on right now so we just wrapped up some inside chores. I love these warmer rains. I love two hearted as well.
Pre game beer before my buddies wedding. Wow this is really good!! Also I'm heading down to Chincoteague Island this week so if anyone has any brewery recommendations please let me know. We usually just stop at Dogfish on the way home.
