It finally cleared off, but not before I finished this one. Ozark Beer Company - Belgian Style Golden Ale.

Simply put, this is a beautiful beer. Looks great, smells great, tastes great. Can't find anything wrong with this one. Definitely a winner.

Alright BA's! Now around 12:30 here in NOVA & be forewarned - this post is going to run long :stuck_out_tongue:
    First:
@LeperJim , I repeatedly failed to include a certain book in my BBB day (R.I.P.) posts. So this is a slight breach of 'protocol' - alas, so be it:
Cuvee Rene Kriek & Air Combat Reader. This also piggybacks off of Memorial Day. This book features a small mention of my now-deceased grandfather & one of his many exploits as a Navy pilot during the Korean War.
The highlighted portions make mention of him: Lieutenant Junior Grade Richard Downs. He enlisted in the Navy (underage) to fight in WWII. He risked life & limb to fly in both WWII & Korea, survived, came home to start a family & prospered. Never spoke a word to anyone of what he saw & did during that time in his life.

Second, & on a vastly lighter note - cat pics!
    Cat camouflage :stuck_out_tongue:

    Peek-a-boo! :grinning:

Third - & this is (I suppose) for both @LeperJim & @WesMantooth - but mostly for you, Wes:
I fully intend to wreak all sorts of (un)holy havoc tomorrow. Be warned.

    :astonished::wink::stuck_out_tongue::grinning:

    Whew...

As always- Drink up & drink on, my fellow advocates!

Veterans rarely if ever do until later in life. Enough atrocities witnessed for a lifetime and they want to spare this to their families, whatever wars they were involved in.

Definitely. It's something that I understood about him even when I was young.

Had a oude kriek from a brewery (brouwerij Dugardein, Oudenaarde) that closed in 1963. So bottle was at least 53 years old.
Smelled really heavy, bit like port or Madeira. To my surprise there was still a little bit of C02 in the beer. Tasted really good.
