You know, now that you mention it, I am liking it more - I was considering updating my review, but it didn't occur to me that it may in part be due to the fact that it's been aged for a bit. Mellower and more refined, smoother on the palate, and while the original flavors are all still there, the hops and the malts are more "merged"-tasting.

I like it more than sculpin actually. That said only had sculpin a few times never super fresh

Yesterday it was a Founders Cherise for breakfast, then on to a Shorts Rye Not, followed by a Right Brain Mangalitsa Pig Porter. Which was amazing. Today I get to help make my first beer so I thought we'd open a bottle of FW Double Jack which I've never had before and this may be my new pic for best DIPA out there. I've had Plendy, Hopslam, and Heady but this is more my taste I think. I still do love my Hopslam though ....

Wow, I'm surprised you don't like Aorta! Usually a big hit with our clientele.

Yeah, this one was middle of the road for me. The last few I've tried have been home runs (goodnight bodacious, publican porter). I'm glad I got to try it but I don't think I'll seek this one out in the future. Cheers!
