What beer are you drinking now? #1358

Another beer out of my distribution footprint (3 in a row from 3 different hauls). I believe this was from San Diego last fall. Green Flash you can get here, but not their Cellar 3 offerings. This is a nice brew. Something about the merlot/oak/Brett/plum combo is very tasty. The mouth is s bit thin and the aroma is a bit less diverse than what I taste.

 

I'll check that place out for sure, see what's happening while I'm there. Thanks, mang!

Are you in Lexington? If you have time before you leave make sure to go to County Club. It's not to be missed. Great setting and actually a stones throw from West Sixth. It's weird sounding but the best pho I have ever had came from that place, smoked chicken. Their food is legit.

Some more o' that pale ale. Having to work early makes me have to start drinking earlier. It's a whole cycle.

I'm back again?!? Crazy, I know! Keeping it simple tonight: Citrusinensis with boiled chicken drumsticks coated with Creole seasoning and some hot sauce for dipping. I very well might add mashed potatoes to the mix but we'll see.

 

Closer for me tonight, De Proef and Trillium Bouket Farmhouse Ale. This is an excellent beer, I wasn't sure what to expect going into it. Nose has some hayfield/farm, some citrus, and that indication it will be a little sour. The taste is excellent, the citra and mosaic lay on top of a tart sweetness and a little bit of funk comes through at the end, it's spot on. Similar to Lagunitas Aunt Sally but less tart and better overall execution.

 

A West Coast classic. Low key Saturday night, hope everyone is having a great one as well...cheers!
