Today is the day "we" get back on track people. How long it lasts?...well that's another story, but here's hoping. "Nuff said, let's do the Glass of the Day Awards! (I wonder if there will be any familiar faces () today?) Let's do this! Wooooooohoooooo!

    GotD:
For this display of proper elegance, the honor goes out to @StoutElk_92 . Awesome beer...fancy glass! Cheers and congrats!
2nd: @dcotom must be getting blinded by the reflection of all his awards! From thrift store finds to world class glassware, some people are just meant to bask in the limelight. Wow. Awesome Grolsch glass. (Second hand? I'm assuming no in this case .)
3rd: I believe we have a newcomer to the winners circle here. @ablemedic49 , nice Krombacher mug, and I think we all agree...combining with Taco Bell is definitely living dangerously.
Honorable mention goes out to @scottspencer for not only having matching glassware, but for the nice collection in the background.
Cheers everybody, and I'll see you all soon!

    Mornin' BA's! Coming up on 11:30 here in boiling-hot NOVA & I'm starting with a local-ish brew:
Z Dam by Legend in Richmond, VA. I've seen this beer described as various different things, to me it reads as a bright little Pale Ale with a strong citrus component. It is crisp, refreshing & surprisingly deep :-)

@Lingenbrau - I'm honored to have been back in the GotD winners circle the other day! I guess all my sucking-up finally paid off :stuck_out_tongue:

Found a promotion pack with another nice glass (and two bottles Vedett) in the supermarket earlier today.
    Cheers!

Yes. Goodwill. I bought it yesterday, in fact. They had several of them, but I bought just the one. The Goodwill store here sets their prices like they're high-end antique dealers or something. That said, I still may go back for another one. Or two.

Must have some awesome beer geek around your area who's wife made him get rid of all his glassware :grimacing:. I feel this same dark cloud might be headed my way. Apparently, I have "too many" steins and glasses, to which I reply ":astonished:." Good finds! Cheers!

Decided to have some fun with this pic :-) The coaster is a memento from my trip to Munich, more specifically to Hacker-Pschorr (in this case)

I definitely have trips to Goodwill where that 'beer-geek & his wife' scenario seems to have happened. All the better for me! :grinning:

A love seeing new brown ales. Now that Beer Camp is done i can say my favorite was Pat-Rye-Ot.

    Lighten up for lunch . . .

    Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat
    [IMG]

Very surprising for someone who generally thinks of German or Belgian styles when it comes to wheat beers. 312 Urban presents with a light color not so hazy as the descriptions I've read. Some of the American wheat beers I've tried were a bit thin, or tart, or both. This is full flavored with body and richness more close to a Helles lager than the wheat beer I was expecting. Aroma doesn't give away much but ah, the flavor, rich is the word that comes to mind. Well balanced, not over hoppy, clean, crisp finish. A genuine pleasure to drink.

Another local offering, this time from Starr Hill. I'm typically pretty impressed by their hoppier brews & this is no exception. There's a really strong interplay between the generous hopping & the Belgian yeast. Lots of spicy citrus, some floral qualities, even traces of honey. Nice bitter bite at the finish makes for a solid punctuation mark
