    Run complete, lawn mowed and trimmed, it’s time to claim my merit badge courtesy of the fine folks at Green Flash. Upfront disclaimer: this beer was bottled a year ago today so before the Freshness Police triangulate my location and hunt me down, let me explain….

    I was out shopping yesterday at one of my go-to’s and spotted this orphan on a dusty singles shelf huddling with a host of other disconsolate souls. Bottle date was ancient, but I love Red’s and I’ve never had a bad experience with Green Flash so I put it in my cart along with a four pack of The Calling, two Ruin Ten Bombers, and moseyed on over to the checkout counter.

    Me: I love Red’s and I’m a Green Flash fan, but this bottle is nearly a year old so what’re you asking for it?
    Go-to Guy: Dude, it’s yours, no charge.
    Me: You’re too kind, thanks!

    A year later, this is still a very tasty beer. Can only imagine what it tastes like fresh. Wish we could get Green Flash fresh in these parts. Shit! They're banging at my door….I gotta bug! :grimacing:
